RYA Day Skipper Course From: €1.050,00
The RYA Day Skipper course with aegeanMode from Athens in Greece is best suited for those who want to develop their dexterity, know-how, and knowledge in sail
The RYA Day Skipper practical course proves to be an excellent choice for individuals aiming to enhance their sailing proficiency, broaden their understanding, and acquire the expertise necessary to confidently skipper a yacht safely in daylight within familiar waters. Upon completion of this course, participants will possess the skills to navigate a yacht through short passages. Distinguished by its heightened intensity compared to the Competent Crew course, our program delves deeper into the various facets of Day Skipper theory, seamlessly translating theoretical knowledge into practical application. A comprehensive exploration of yacht handling techniques, both under sail and power, forms a key component of the course, fostering the development of your skippering capabilities. Throughout the duration, participants engage in the formulation of passage plans, and navigation exercises, and take charge during a night sail, all aimed at providing firsthand experience in assuming the responsibilities of a skipper.

About the Certificate
The RYA Day Skipper certificate stands as the essential accreditation acknowledged by the majority of global authorities for individuals seeking to charter a yacht. Furthermore, those possessing an RYA Day Skipper certificate are eligible to petition the RYA for an ICC (International Certificate of Competence), a universally recognized qualification in the international boating community.
Participants undertaking the RYA Skipper practical course are anticipated to possess the requisite level of theoretical understanding, equivalent to that of the Day Skipper theory level. This intensive 6-day practical program encompasses extensive navigation, chart work, and sailing activities, precluding the feasibility of instructing theory from the ground up. However, your instructor will diligently mentor and assist you in addressing any knowledge gaps about theory and navigation, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
