• PPR is a Prerequisite for Commercial Endorsement:

  • Compulsory for Applicants: All new applicants seeking a commercially endorsed RYA Certificate of Competence are required to successfully complete the PPR course.

• Course Objectives:

  • Introduction to Commercial World: The primary goal of the PPR course is to familiarize seafarers with the commercial aspects of the maritime industry.
  • Understanding Legislation: Participants gain insight into relevant legislation that governs professional practices and responsibilities in the maritime sector.

Ensure a smooth transition into the commercial maritime world by fulfilling the prerequisite PPR course, as mandated for new applicants pursuing a commercially endorsed RYA Certificate of Competence.

The course is broken into four modules:

1. Commercial Environment
2. People
3. Vessel
4. Purpose

After completing the PPR modules there is a mock assessment with which you can check if you are ready for the final online assessment.
