Our RYA courses are designed to help you become a confident, competent skipper who can navigate the seas with ease. We offer a variety of courses, including the competent crew, day skipper, coastal skipper, and Yachtmaster preparation.

The competent crew course is ideal for beginners who have little to no sailing experience. During the course, you’ll learn the basics of sailing, including how to steer, handle sails, and tie knots. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to safely crew a yacht and understand the fundamentals of sailing.

The day skipper course is the next step in your sailing journey. This course is designed for those who want to take on more responsibility on the yacht. You’ll learn how to plan and execute passages, as well as how to handle emergency situations. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to skipper a small yacht in familiar waters during daylight hours.

If you’re looking to take your skills to the next level, the coastal skipper course is the perfect option. During this course, you’ll learn how to navigate in more challenging conditions, including at night and in unfamiliar waters. You’ll also learn advanced boat handling techniques.

Finally, our Yachtmaster preparation course is for those who want to become professional sailors or simply want to achieve the highest level of sailing certification. During this course, you’ll learn advanced navigation techniques, including how to use celestial navigation and electronic instruments. You’ll also learn how to manage a crew and operate a yacht in more challenging conditions.

Our courses are run on your own yacht, which means you’ll be learning in an environment that’s familiar to you. This will allow you to practice your skills in real-life situations and make any necessary adjustments to your yacht’s handling.
