George, with over two decades of sailing experience and a logbook documenting over 80,000 nautical miles, is a seasoned sailor. Holding qualifications as an RYA Yachtmaster instructor and VHF assessor, he has navigated both the Mediterranean and U.K. regions. His profound familiarity with the Saronic, stemming from his upbringing, adds a unique depth to his expertise. Committed to continuous improvement, George actively seeks to enhance his knowledge and refine teaching techniques. As an RYA instructor, he has successfully guided over 600 recreational and professional sailors through the RYA syllabus.

 

 

Andy Hitchen
 RYA Yachtmaster Instructor

Over the past decade, Andy has dedicated his career to sailing, serving as both a skipper and instructor primarily in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Despite igniting his passion for sailing in the UK, he has predominantly traversed the globe, accumulating extensive ocean sailing experience.

As an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, he possesses additional credentials, holding an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate with a commercial endorsement. His sailing experience extends to the Mediterranean, showcasing profound expertise in navigating the Greek Islands.

Achilles Argyriou

Achilles is a vital member of our team, bringing an inherent love for yachting that originated from dinghy sailing at the young age of 6 and progressing to offshore sailing by the age of 11. Professionally immersed in yachting since 2016, he holds the esteemed titles of RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor.

Nikos harbours a profound love for the sea and all its activities, having dedicated most of his life to pursuits such as sailing, motor boating, free diving, and scuba diving. As an RYA Powerboat Instructor, he seamlessly blends his passion with his professional responsibilities. Additionally, Nikos takes charge of sales, demonstrating a customer-oriented approach that ensures your training preferences are not just met but transformed into reality.

At the age of just 22, Jak Alimaras possesses an extensive sailing background, accumulating nearly a decade of experience on the water. In the past year, he attained the esteemed designation of RYA Cruising Instructor, generously imparting his knowledge and enthusiasm for sailing to others. Jak’s maritime journey spans diverse environments, from charter boats in the UK and Caribbean to serving as crew on majestic tall ships in Sydney Harbour. His presence embodies our dedication to excellence in all facets of maritime pursuits.

Possessing a degree in the tourism industry, Chrysa is a valuable member of our sailing school team since 2021. With an in-depth understanding of training requirements, she excels in communication and hospitality. Proficient in managing RYA scheme bookings, Chrysa seamlessly combines her academic background with practical expertise to elevate the overall sailing experience. Her passion for hospitality, coupled with strong communication skills, adds significant value to our training centre.
